Hotel and Restaurant Combolo
The hotel, in the centre of Teglio, is a renovated 16th-century residence behind which rises the 2900-metre Mount Combolo, from which it takes its name. The restaurant, renowned in the area for its pizzoccheri, offers different settings in which to be pampered: the “Sala del Novecento”, intimate and elegant with its barrel vaults, the “Salone Luminoso”, spacious and ideal for banquets, and the “tavernetta”, where you can taste Valtellina wines surrounded by the magical atmosphere of the green stone fireplace. During the summer it is possible to lunch and dine outdoors in the wonderful veranda framed by flowers. It is also ideal for an aperitif at sunset.
The restaurant offers all typical dishes, a wide choice of alternatives and an excellent wine list, including the personalised “Combolo” labels (a red Doc, a Valtellina Superiore Docg and a Sforzato), made by a historic Valtellina cellar. Those who want to practise traditional cooking can take part in the cooking workshops, where they will teach you how to make pizzoccheri, polenta and sciatt.
