Olmo Farmhouse

Our farmhouse was born in 2021 out of a strong desire to redevelop a traditional architecture in Ponchiera, a small hamlet of Sondrio, in order to propose a new idea of staying in Valtellina. When we chose to renovate this house to open it up to our guests, we realised that we had to respect its ancient spirit, while taking care of comfort and design. We revisit the rural tradition by putting in our modern idea of rural tourism: a relaxing holiday, closer to the rhythms of nature, attentive to the details and history of the area. You can lose yourself in the silence of the woods or listen to the village elders chatting in dialect, but don't think you are out of time. Ours is a living land!

Our facility has eleven rooms, designed for every type of traveller. We designed our rooms with this in mind: essential, intimate, full of light. All our rooms are air-conditioned, soundproofed and have a private bathroom. Our guests can enjoy a beautiful view of the Alpine valley and relax in the large private garden at the back of the hotel.

Our farmhouse is located in Ponchiera, in a panoramic position above Sondrio, and is an excellent starting point to reach the ski slopes, but also to explore the lesser-known Valtellina. Would you like to take a horseback ride to Lake Como? A guided hike on the slopes of the Valmalenco glaciers? Or relax with a wine tasting in a wine cellar, with taxi service included? These are just a few ideas: tell us what you would like to do and we will organise it for you.

We like to give you a good start to your day. We use local products: milk, yoghurt, honey and homemade cakes for the sweet tooth, cold meats, eggs and cheese for those who prefer a continental breakfast. Many products come directly from our farm, which produces juices, jams and fresh blueberries. If you like them, you can also buy them in the online shop or directly at the farm. On request, the agritourism can organise events with themed menus: few tables and great attention to raw materials and local gastronomy.

For a lunch or dinner dedicated to the flavours of Valtellina, our guests are welcome.
