Fior di Roccia - Locanda di Montagna

The Fior di Roccia is a historic Valmalenco inn founded in 1950 and taken over by Elisabetta and Carlo in 2021. Do you know what legend its name is linked to? The rock flower, or edelweiss, is said to have been born thanks to a star that wanted to reach and keep company with a lonely mountain with an inhospitable climate. Here the flower learnt to grow despite the adverse conditions, needing only a little shade provided by the mountain and its drained soil. This is precisely what the owners want to convey to you in their Locanda di Montagna: the values of simplicity, positivity, the power of sharing and respect for nature.
