Crotasc

One of the most characteristic and ancient crotto in Valchiavenna.

For three generations, the Prevostini family has been welcoming its guests with authenticity and warmth in the main fireplace room, where the copper of the farming culture tools hanging on the wall reverberates and the rock of the crotto emerges. The ambience in the neighbouring room, on the other hand, is inspired by Italian design, with the wood on the walls and the bright colours of the furniture. During warm season, food is also served on the terrace in the shade of centuries-old chestnut trees.

There is a lot of research in the kitchen, both in traditional and more contemporary dishes. The raw materials are extraordinary, local and fresh. Pizzoccheri, gnocchetti bianchi, brisaola, Slow Food Presidium Goat's Violin, salads with wild herbs and field fragrances, game and char from the nearby lake are all on offer, together with innovative culinary proposals, depending on the season, even off the menu.

An accurate wine list proposes not only Mamete Prevostini's Nebbiolo, but also those of other Valtellina producers, offering an interesting wandering among the great red wines, both national and foreign, and refined bubbles.
