Nicola Nobili
The family-run company is managed with enthusiasm and passion by Nicola, who cultivates 5 hectares of terraced vineyards, located between Poggiridenti and Sondrio, respecting Valtellina traditions. His work is focused on highlighting the unique synergy between grape variety, environment and seasons in each wine. The four wines produced, Inferno, Sassella, Grumello and Sforzato “Il Montescale”, are vinified in the Poggiridenti cellar in the Inferno sub-zone.
The ageing cellar is located in Ponte in Valtellina inside a 16th century building that was once a Jesuit convent. Here, the wines are aged in large oak barrels for at least three years and in a room inside the cellar, wine tastings are held in combination with typical local products.
