Balgera

Historic Valtellina winery based in the ancient residence of the Quadrio nobles, in Chiuro.

They are in the fifth generation: the winemaker Paolo carries on the family tradition, in the name of the tradition of "ancient knowledge of making wine" supported by his sons Luca and Matteo. The Balgera philosophy is to respect as much as possible the long aging time of Nebbiolo.

The improvement of winemaking techniques and the modernization of the cellar systems is continuous. It is the only cellar at the moment that uses the precious principles antioxidant active ingredients from grapes to produce antiaging creams, based on red wine.
