An organic company, which aims for biodynamic and has been awarded B-corporate status. It all started with Marcel's father, who in the 1980s wanted to experiment a type of agriculture that was more respectful of nature.
Not an easy path, but one that Marcel is now pursuing with perseverance and even satisfaction, cultivating more than 10 hectares of vines: in addition to Nebbiolo, he has planted Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc and Traminer.
His philosophy is to reduce the impact on both soil and plant, sometimes at the expense of quantity, with a view to preserving the Alpine microenvironment of Valtellina, according to the laws of nature: for new plantings and pruning he follows the lunar calendar. For treatments, Marcel mainly uses clays and essential oils (useful against fungal diseases). Sulphur and copper are only used in extreme cases and in homeopathic doses. Insects also play their part in this system.
You will recognise the winery by the stone tower that stands out among the vineyards of Bianzone.
