Mamete Prevostini is a pragmatic man, with strong ties to family tradition and a forward-looking mind, which has driven him to take courageous choices and to believe in a new interpretation of mountain Nebbiolo and sustainable viticulture. This is why he has two wineries: a historic one, where he welcomes guests, in Valchiavenna, and an innovative one, in the heart of the terraced area, eco-sustainable, with CasaClima certification.
When you visit the historic cellar, you will discover Mamete's “caveau” where the best vintages of its wines are kept inside the crotto - a cavity in the rocks of the mountain where a natural wind keeps the temperature cool all year round.
In the front area you can taste the entire range of wines, choosing between two experiential routes. If you wish to continue the food and wine trail, you can enjoy lunch or dinner in the family Crotasc restaurant, right above the crotto, where you can also stay overnight in one of the three double rooms with a view of the mountains.
