Alfio Mozzi

Alfio is a man in symbiosis with nature. He grew up in the vineyards in Castione Andevenno, near his home. But he does not only live them through his work: he also races along those steep terraces, often participating in very important competitions.

His story as a vigneron began a few years ago, when he decided to give up his job as a blacksmith to follow the call of the land. Thus, starting in 1998, his passion began to turn into a real business, devoting himself full-time to the cultivation of vines. Little by little, he also increased the area under vines, combining the terraces bordering his great-grandparents' land.

Now Alfio has his own farm and produces two wines: a Valtellina Superiore and a Sforzato. In harmony with mountain nature, he can only express the mood of the year in each of his wines.

A prickly pear is depicted on the label of his Sassella, the Grisone, and if you want to discover the reason, let yourself be accompanied through his vineyards and you will understand what an exceptional microclimate Valtellina enjoys and how passionately Alfio tends his land!
